What I read this week:
Chapter 9-11
Summary:
The next day Mrs. Bennet goes and see how Jane is doing. Mrs,
Bennet made a fool out of herself infront of the Bingley sister's and
Darcy. The Bingley family promised to host a ball when Jane gets
alright.
Jane is well enough to join everyone in the parlor after dinner. Darcy is
keeping his attention on Elizabeth.

Vocab:
1. Summoned- to call upon to do something specified.
My mom summoned me to do my homework.
2. Solicitude- the state of being solicitous; anxiety or concern.
I was sent to his room, forced to go through the remainder of the day
in solitude
3. Complacent- pleasant; complaisant.
He surveyed his homework with a complacent smile, knowing he would
get an A.
4. Indolent- having or showing a disposition to avoid exertion; slothful.
Unlike her hardworking brother, she had alot of indolence.
5. Impertinence- impertinent quality or action.
Don't be impertinent said the king.
6. Decorum- dignified propriety of behavior, speech, dress, etc.
A little less decorum and it might have been an evening worth
remembering.
7. Amendment- the act of amending or the state of being amended.

8. Panegyric- formal or elaborate praise.
Tom is very panegyric while talking to his co-workers.
9. Laudable- deserving praise; praiseworthy; commendable.
The fireman's actions in saving the children was laudable.
10. Expostulation- an expostulatory remark or address.
I see no point in expostulating with a person who refuses to listen to
reason.
11. Alacrity-Cheerful willingness; eagerness.
The dancer performed with alacrity.
12. Approbation- approval; commendation.
The council has finally indicated its approbation of the plans
13. Gallantry- dashing courage; heroic bravery; noble-minded
behavior.
