Pages read: 20 - 30 each

Summary:
LoTR - The Uruk-hai along with their orc/goblin counterparts have traveled north through Rohan to Isengard carrying with them the 2 hobbits, Merry & Pippin. However, the men of Rohan have taken notice to the unwelcome trespassing of the Uruk-hai and decide to kill them, allowing the hobbits to escape into the forest of Fangorn. Here they meet the ancient Ent, Fangorn, or Tree-beard in the common tongue. Tree-beard helps Merry & Pippin by feeding them and providing shelter until the topic of Saruman comes up. Tree-beard despises Saruman because of his wrong doings towards the Ents and Huorns of Fangorn. Eventually, Tree-beard comes to the conclusion that Saruman must be stopped and therefore gathers the many Ents of Fangorn to discuss an assault against the fortress of Isengard.
TGiHL - The book begins by introducing the legendary General Simon Bolivar as a frail old man, stricken with premature old age. He is talking a bath in rejuvinating, warm waters when his trusted servant, Jose Palacios, ends his bath and hands him his towel. After this Simon begins to explain his relationship with multiple people including his long time lover, Manuela Saenz, Jose, and the people of the multiple countries he had freed from their previous Spanish oppressors. Jose, who has remained faithful to him even though the public has mostly turned against him, is described as the greatest of friends and one who would go with him to the ends of the earth. Manuela, is still his lover although they no longer openly share their feelings for each other, probably due to the fact that Simon has less than a month to live. The people of northern South America now harbor ill feelings towards the General, conjuring false accusations of him wanting to hold onto the presidency simply for the power.
